I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review.
Dani Carrigan has an amazing career in the study of child behavior and teaches Psychology. Her life is on track and she is in-love with her boss the widower. What more could she ask for? When her world is turned upside down because of an unplanned pregnancy, her best friend Elliot steps up to lend her support.
Adrian Carlson has been a widower for some time and when his bed buddy gets pregnant he flips a switch on her. He is willing to help support his child and nothing more. He was such a user.
Elliot Gilmore has been best friend with Dani for two years and that is all he ever wants from her or so he thought. When she gets pregnant by another man; he ends up re-evaluating his feelings.
I thought the story was well written and sweet. I really liked the characters for the most part, even if one or two of them needed to seriously be into smelling the coffee. I wish there had been a few hot moments between Dani and Elliot but I can’t always get what I want.
This book does need a little editing because I found sentences with missing words, repeated words and words left out all together. There weren’t enough edits to actually ruin the story but enough that they should be brought to attention.
Book’s Cover Rating
The Cover is eye catching and was enough to make me look at the blurb which well worded but had one mis-spelled word again not enough of an editing issue to detract from the overall goal of enjoying this book.

The Carrigans of Circle C Series- Book 3
Dani Carrigan has always relied on logic when making important life decisions, but when she discovers she’s pregnant – and that there’s a chance her baby may be born “not perfect”— logic lets her down.
It would help if the baby’s father would pop the question, but widowed father Adrian seems more interested in protecting his six-year-old daughter than committing to his new relationship with Dani.
The last time she felt this alone and scared was when she was 16 and her mother died, leaving Dani to raise her younger sisters with precious little help from her distant and disapproving rancher father. She felt so inadequate then, but is she any more prepared to be a mother now?
Support comes from an unlikely source. Dani always saw her next-door neighbour and friend, divorce attorney Elliot Gilmore, as a charming, handsome, playboy-type. But with each challenge she faces, from pregnancy, to delivery and beyond—Elliot reveals himself a better man than she ever guessed.
Is it possible that Elliot hasn’t been playing the field—but waiting for her?
