Fury was a science experiment raised in a lab and known as a number and treated worse than anyone could imagine. When he was finally freed he swore he would make those who tortured his people suffer and especially the woman who saved him from humiliating torture only to get beaten for a crime she committed.

Ellie was so closed to completing her undercover mission that would save hundreds of people from being held against their will and being used as experiments. She became attached to 416 and when she found him being abused by another tech she had to do something so risking months of undercover work she saves him, but in order to free him for good she has to make it look like he was guilty of what she had done, maybe one day he will forgive her for what she did in order to free him.

The first time I read this book I couldn’t put it down because I was so eager to find out what would happen next between Fury and Ellie. And as I read it again it was the same the story line just pulled me right in and I lost track of time and space, my husband was a little put out because he had to do all the chores himself, which usually happens when I am ensconced in a great book.. The first bedroom scene was pretty intense and epic with all the emotions swirling through the room at dizzying speeds. I felt bad for Fury and Ellie as Justice misinterpreted things and then I could just see Justice’s face in my mind as he was enlightened into understanding and made me laugh

I really love this series and have re-read every book as a new book comes out. World that Laurann has created in the series seems so descriptively realistic that I can understand why people would ask were New Species are hiding and of course “When will the next book be out?”

The Cover Rating
I love the cover it is hot and I know the books main focus is the man but the woman does play and equal roll in the story line so I kind of wish Ellie was represented on the cover.

Book’s Blurb Rating
The blurb was an excellent selling point that made it easy to decide on purchasing this book

Book’s Blurb
Ellie is horrified to discover the pharmaceutical company she works for is doing illegal experiments. Company scientists have spliced human and animal DNA, creating exotic new species. One such “experiment” captures her heart and she’ll do anything to save him-even if he hates her for it. Fury has never known compassion or love. He’s spent his life in a cell, chained and abused by humans. The one woman he allowed himself to trust betrayed him. Now he’s free and set on vengeance. He vows to end her life but when she’s finally in his grasp, harming her is the last thing he wants to do to the sexy little human. Fury can’t resist Ellie-the touch of her hands, her mouth on his skin, her body wrapped around his. He’s obsessed with the scent of his woman. And Ellie wants Fury-always has. She craves his big, powerful body and wants to heal his desolate heart. But loving Fury is one thing…taming him is another. Reader Advisory: This story contains the heartrending aftermath of a rape scene involving a captive male. Another scene involves capture and forced touching by a hurt, vengeful Fury.
