Tammy was handed the wrong map and ended up in Valiant’s front yard where he gets one sniff of her and her wants to keep her. When she clocks him on the head after the most amazing sex of her life, she feels bad but she doesn’t want him hurt and she can’t stay with him, she hardly knows him. When a traitor informs his employers of Valiant and Tammy’s time together, Valiant and the other New Species race off to rescue her from the evil Mercile Doctor who wants to see if she can be impregnated by a captive New Species.

I would really love to give Valiant a five star rating but with the number of edits I found in it that will seriously be reduced but I have read this book three times already and will undoubtedly read it again so that speaks for the story itself but I still hope that Laurann will consider re-editing at sometime in the future. Because I really love the world that Laurann has created with her New Species series. She has created a race of humans that seem larger than life and incorruptible, they are sweet yet very dominant and possessive, it is no wonder Tammy fell in love with the moody and growly Valiant who is very sweet under all that growling and roaring.

The heat rating will hopefully make up for the overall rating as they deserve high marks for being steamy enough to leave you panting with a lighter side to leave you giggling with every roar and scream that everyone can hear.

Favorite Quotes
This time my quotes may get me censored again, but if they do that just means it’s time to create an adult version page for this blog because some quotes should just be shared. With that said there are three quotes that I am really attached to I just couldn’t decide which ones to share so I have decided that all three deserve the spot light. I just love the honesty of all the New Species characters and two of the quotes though related to sex show this the other though also related to sex but for different reasons was just plain cute and funny.

“I growled when I thought about flipping you over and mounting you from behind. Riding you hard and fast makes my blood boil. I purred because I want to feast on you. I’d enjoy lapping at your pussy with my tongue to taste you again.”—Valiant (Explaining what his growls and purrs meant at that moment)

“Let her do it. You’ve got the sharp-nail issue. You’ll tear them. Just look cute and helpless while you tell her you need help. Human women dig that.”—Flame (A discussion about condoms)

“It’s amazing, addicting, and worth every second I won’t be chasing deer with you. I’ll have a better time with my Tammy.”—Valiant (a discussion with Tiger where he misunderstands a comment about regular sex)

Book’s Blurb
Book 3 in the New Species series. Tammy has always tried to be prepared for any calamity life might send her way but she never imagined a sexy, lion man-beast in her future. He’s huge, got the most exotic, golden cat-eyes she’s ever seen, and she’s so terrified she’s speechless for the first time in her life. He’s stalking closer, growling at her, and she’s too terrified to even flee. Valiant hates humans. But when he gets a whiff of the adorable human female who has invaded his territory, he starts rethinking. Her fear scents of pure, sweet temptation and the closer he gets, the more appealing she becomes. Once he’s got his hands on her, he isn’t about to let her go. One thought will change his life. MINE! Before Tammy can regain her senses, she’s flat on her back in Valiant’s bed. Now he just has to use every inch of his big, buff body to convince her that she should stay with him forever. Reader Advisory: While this book may be read as a standalone, the background story is best enjoyed when the books in this series are read in sequential order.
