I originally found The Rejected Wolf on Facebook attached to one of those dreaded rip-off apps, so I snap shot a picture of the title and looked it up online where I happen to notice it was also on Amazon. Good thing because I really wanted to read the story but I am not inclined to be ripped off to do so.

Andy hale is a bullied she-wolf who ends up being mated to her bully, Connor the jerk face Black, who is still determined to make her suffer. I really could not stand him, he needed to be kicked in the balls and left screaming like a girl. I am convinced he must have been dropped on his head several times as a child because his parents and brother were pretty cool. I really liked them. Andy isn’t down for the count though, turns out she has a second chance by the name of Logan. He was excited that he got the girl instead of Connor.

There are a few twists in The Rejected Wolf that will keep you in the story line and some of them you might actually see coming as the story progresses. One or two of those twists are so subtle you wont even really see them as a twist. It was really easy to like the likable characters and equally easy to hate the jerk off characters. This story does need some edited but not much and the ending was a let down but the guts of the whole story line was a pretty enjoyable read that I may read again in the future.

Book Cover
I have seen this particular cover before on others paranormal books and it is getting tiresome

Blurb
I like the blurb; it gives you just enough taste of the story to hook you without telling you the whole story. It does need some minor editing, maybe one or two words but nothing drastic.

Book’s Blurb
When teenage werewolf Andy Hale finally finds her soulmate, she is drawn to his strength, and of course that chiselled face. You would think that she would be happy. However, the normally timid and kindhearted Andy learns that life can hold some cruel twists. Turns out the love of her life is none other than Connor Black. The very same Connor Black who has been tormenting her since she was a pup. As if that wasn’t enough, things were complicated when another Handsome stranger rushes to her rescue… Who will she Choose? Love or Destiny?

I got Phantom Lovers free from Allromance.com back in 2014 and am just now getting to it but I kind wish I hadn’t. Phantom Lovers made me think of the sing-song thing that went like 1,2 skip a few… Only in this case it is start (they meet), skip the middle, the end (they have sex). There is the hint of a middle but nothing of any real substance.

If your looking for a short adult bedtime porn story with no real substance and in need of some editing then you might like this one but I really feel like the author could have done so much better.

Heat
There are some so-so steamy parts at the end of the story that would be interesting if there was more to the story. Phantom Lovers is so short that the steamy parts seem more like reading porn.

Book Cover
The cover is ok but rather vague as to whether it fits the storyline of Phantom Lovers or not

Blurb
The blurb is ok it just needs a couple of edits.

Book’s Blurb
Lynsay never believed in ghosts and always nodded indulgently when the old timers in the theater tried to convince her otherwise. But two sexy ghosts have been watching her, and waiting. When they appear to her, she hesitates despite the desire that immediately burns in her veins. At first she wonders how she can trust the two mysterious men, but soon she convinces herself how foolish it would be to resist them. Yet even as she indulges in all the pleasures they offer her, she doesn’t confess her true feelings. She never imagined giving her heart to more than one man in the first place, so how can she give it to two men who aren’t even alive?

Be Warned: menage sex (MMF), anal sex, m/m sex.

I think I should apologize now for the spoilers (that I try to not put in my reviews)

I am probably going to rain down on this review. I found this story on Wattpad decided it might be worth sometime to explore. It was and it wasn’t, the story line is engrossing and the mind of the author that wrote Muted is seriously very dark and it makes me wonder what her life was like growing up.

As I said before I try very hard to be as careful as I can about spoilers and giving away too much of the story but I am not sure that I can obey my own rule here but I will try by starting off on the easy part, editing. According to a statement by the author on Wattpad, did a thorough editing of Muted, I think that she should have asked a friend or someone to also edit the story as well she missed a few spots. There weren’t to many edits that they utterly destroyed the flow of the story but enough to cause a few hiccups.

Rape is a serious heinous crime and I would like to think that raping a minor would be just as heinous in the paranormal world as it is in the real world, and that brings me to the question of why would an author write in a character that would willingly mate with her rapist/abuser, in the any world I find that beyond repulsive and very unrealistic. I get dark stories but come on really, I think that Luna’s wolf should have castrated Ash when he showed up and threaten Luna and the fox kit. As for Ruru/Aeros he should have taken her straight to his pack as soon as Luna woke up from her coma and never let them near her like he said he would. This is a seriously beyond twisted story that should have warnings put in the blurb. If you decide to give Muted a shot consider reading it some where alone so that young ones can’t read over your shoulder.

Book Cover
Is rather muted and bland so maybe it could be said that it fit the story line then again someone who will judge a book by its cover just look at it and say “boring”. The Moon looks beautiful though so there is something positive to be said.

Blurb
My only complaint about the blurb is the lack of explicit content warnings about rape and abuse. I really believe these are necessary incase a pre-young adult decides to read it.

Book’s Blurb
Luna was the darling of her pack until tragedy struck. Now, after years of torment, she must learn to trust again. Aeros wants to help his chosen mate, but Ash wants to kill him and claim his fated mate. If Luna can’t trust her new friends, a vampire, neko, and faerie prince, the children of the night will enslave humankind.

One day, while the pack hunted, a tragic event set in motion by her brother struck their home. However, Luna took the blame. For years she put up with the abuse and hate of the pack without complaint. She’d rather suffer than hurt her brother with the painful truth, that everything was his fault.

Unfortunately, after the pack surges past the point of no return, the truth comes calling and refuses to leave without shedding its light.

Now one of her greatest tormentors, Ash, the old alpha’s son and her brother’s lifelong best friend, must earn back Luna’s trust because he is her mate. But first, he must get the wolf claiming to be her mate out of the way…

I originally found My Second Chance Mate on Wattpad and I am glad that author decided to sell her story as an e-book instead on one of those scam apps.

Harmony gets rejected by one mate and moves to a new pack and discovers a second chance only for him to reject her to. When Trevor figures out that he is a royal idiot for not accepting Harmony he tries to fix his mistake. To bad he can’t keep his foot out of his mouth.

I really liked Harmony and her methods of dealing with Trevor, her new pack and her cousin’s friends. Yes, I do like Trevor too, even though he has foot in mouth disease. I mostly liked the story line for the entertainment factor (it was funny most of the time), I do wish the characters were a bit older, but then, it is not my story to write. I really did not like the number of edits that I found as I read the story, and I hope the author goes back to edit then lets me know so I can change my rating. The other thing I was not a fan of was the price, I felt that it was a bit high, especially for the target audience (young adult) who generally don’t have a lot of money.

My biggest concern with this story and others like it, is the message it is sending to young adults, which is the chosen audience for this book. I know, I am wrestling with my own hypocrisy and consciences as I was a teen mom at 15. As I said before, it is not my story to write and the reality is the teenagers are having sex so the author is just keeping it real in a paranormal kind of way. I do think that one of those disclaimers that mention the sexual content, teen pregnancy or other controversial issues should have been added to the blurb as warning to parents whose under 18 child might be interested in reading it.

Book Cover
I think the best part of this cover is the wolf.

Blurb
I think the blurb is a good selling point but I was surprised that it did not come with the usual warnings about touchy subjects like sexual content or teen pregnancy.

Book’s Blurb
Meeting your mate is supposed to be an amazing experience. Getting rejected by him, however, is a different story. And it’s Harmony’s story. Her mate chose her sister over their bond and she’s forced to hide the painful experience to avoid hurting someone she loves.

When she can’t bear seeing them together any longer, she decided to move away and join her aunt’s pack in Hawaii. It was her first day in a new school when she locked eyes with Trevor and her heart starts beating for this gorgeous man. Mate. How is this even possible?

Fate plays with her again when he rejects her too. How is she going to face all the problems life had thrown at her? Will Harmony be done with mates or is she finally getting the love of her life with her second chance?

I first saw Once Rejected, Twice Desired on Facebook attached to one of those rip off scamming reading apps, I would rather spend my money on e-books and traditional books, they are a better value. So, I was really excited to find this book on Amazon, but not so much now.

Once Rejected, Twice Desired starts of strong by dragging you in to the story even with the large number of edits that need to occur. The author (whoever that really is) did a good job of creating hooks to keep me as a reader engaged in the storyline even during the very boring parts. I liked the characters, they were all very entertaining, especially Mat and his curse. I saw one review complaining about Xander letting Alaia mate with Alexi but the things is, this is a story that is not meant to be very realistic so it does make sense and some drama to the storyline, so that didn’t bother me and gives me something good to say before getting into what bugged or irritated me.

The edits were definite speed bumps to the flow of the story but thankfully didn’t take away from the storyline to much, I still think it would be good for the author (whoever that is) to go back and edit some more. While they are editing it would also probably be a good idea to take away that point of view phrasing at the beginning of each chapter required by those crappy apps, after all, they did turn Once Rejected, Twice Desired into an actual Amazon E-book.

I was considering a 4-star rating until I started prepping for the writing of this review but have since changed my mind and giving4154GdiiwOL it 2-stars. The book cover change and name change of the author that took place since I purchase Once Rejected, Twice Desired last February has not only creates some confusion when people go to find a book after reading a review but it also annoys me when I am trying to make sure my readers have the information they need if they chose to read the book, I am telling them about.

Heat
What can you possibly say about sex with two guys in a movie theater? Not my thing but it was fun to read about and mentioning it will have my adult children shaking their heads while discussing their mothers reading preference and drinking something with alcohol in it, lamo.

Book Cover
I have developed a lot of pet peeves since I started writing reviews, one of them being cover changes right after I purchase a book, but this one takes the cake. Not only did the cover change but so did the name of the author. Come on people, work this shit out BEFORE people purchase your book, it is not rocket science, ugh. I am sharing both covers and adding both authors names so you all can find the book if you chose to invest your money and time into it, I also added the link to the book as per usual.

Book’s Blurb
When Alaia turns 18, she knows that she will eventually find her mate. What she doesn’t know is what will happen when she finally does. The betrayal of rejection knocks her down, but she’s not meant to be down for long. She is meant for greatness. Follow along as she overcomes to get everything she has ever wanted, but was too afraid to ask. She was Once Rejected, but now ice Desired.

Sweet Royal Beginnings is would be a great teaching tool for why preconceived opinions are a waste of time and energy. A lesson that Mikal SuMartra seemed to struggle with based on the number of times he put his foot in mouth. He clearly is not the sharpest tool in the shed, I wasn’t sure if I should feel sorry for him or just laugh my ass off because once he gets past his preconceived notions on strippers he goes and sticks his foot in it again proving once again he is not the smartest student in the class.

I really liked the character of Jane, she does what she needs to do to work through life and takes pride in who she truly is and is not ashamed of it, and strong enough to say this is what she does to pay the bills but it is not who she is, refusing to let the preconceived ideology of others define her. I do think that she should have made Mikal grovel more and that she caved way to soon but hey, to each their own, it was still fun to read this story.

I thought that the book covered a lot of ground for being only 68 pages and with the added bonus of little to know errors making the story worth the time and energy it took to read it. I enjoyed reading Sweet Royal Beginnings but I am not entirely sure that the word ‘sweet’ actually fits in the title of this book.

Heat
There were a few bedroom scenes and the only one that was potentially, graphicly steamy was the first one, but it was also one517g1XlKguL sided enough to be a bit mundanely done to death. The rest were mentioned but not elaborated on.

Quotes
I like this quote because Jane is very clear about the difference between who she is and Mikal’s preconceived idea about who she is based on what she does to survive in the world.

“Not everyone has opportunities just handed to them, like I am sure you did. Even though your life is directed by your position you have never known the struggle of living day to day. I’m not a dancer Prince SuMartra. I am a struggling student doing what I have to do to makes ends meet.”—Jane

Cover
I purchased Sweet Royal Beginnings back in 2015 and since then the cover has changed so I am adding the new cover to this review as well. I think the older cover is pretty bland and tamer then the new cover.

Blurb
The blurb is a bit long and needs some editing but it is a good selling point for Sweet Royal Beginnings

Book’s Blurb
Abandoned at birth, Jane Smith didn’t have much experience with the elusive emotion of love. Frankly, she didn’t even believe that any such emotion existed. After all she had gotten along just fine all on her own for twenty some years. She certainly didn’t need some obnoxious, over inflated, egotistical man coming into her world and turning it upside down.

“Mike” thought entirely too highly of himself, and Jane was one woman that would not fall at his feet just because he was a prince (and probably the most handsome man she had ever seen in her life). His strong broad shoulders and dark brown hair or his midnight blue eyes did nothing for her, nor did his whiskey smooth accent send messages of warning to her female parts.

But most of all, Jane Smith was a big ole liar.

Prince Mikal SuMartra had no idea why the small blonde on stage attracted him. Her figure was quite slim, which made other parts of her full lush body all the more tempting. The conflicting glimpses he got of the saucy siren with blushing innocence intrigued him. The way she reacted to his touch, he knew that a night in her arms would be pleasure-filled for both of them.

Her blatant refusal only made him more determined than ever to have her. Mikal couldn’t wait to peel away the many faces of Jane to uncover the true jewel beneath.

This over 15 thousand word novella is the complete story of Jane and Mikal as they struggle to find their way to the beginning of their happy ever after.

Amber Kell has republished Jaynell’s Wolf and my curiosity got the better of me and yes, I still have my original e-book version that I purchased from All Romance, but haven’t read it in some time, I may have to, just to see if and/or how different the 2 versions are.

Jaynell’s father’s last request is for him to attend a magical university, where he meets his 4 room mates and his werekin mate Thomas. As Jaynell meets in his new potential friends he worries about chasing them off as they discover how powerful he is. His mate, Thomas, a powerful wolf in his own right lacks the ambition to be Alpha and is very happy to have found his mate and be his brothers second.

When I first read this story, I honestly did not think it would one I would read again so guess I surprised myself. There wasn’t much about Jaynell’s Wolf that I didn’t like. It was well written with practically no editing issues, maybe one or two but nothing that truly interrupted the overall flow of the story. I am unsure of the title Jaynell’s Wolf, because, even though Thomas is in nearly every chapter in the story, the focus is on Jaynell more then his wolf or them as a couple.

Heat
Jaynell’s Wolf is very storyline based with a couple of bedroom scenes that were tastefully written and not overly graphic.

Book Cover
I think the newer editions cover is more interesting than the older cover, but the older cover fits the storyline more than the newer cover.

Book’s Blurb
The blurb for this version of Jaynell’s Wolf is longer and honestly a lot better than the first version’s blurb.

Grace has had enough; her mate rejects her and the old goats in town conspired to help keep her from her mate. She decides she done with the old bats in tow and moves to her family cabin to get away from it all.

I really liked Grace and her girlfriends; they were lively and fun. I am pretty sure the male population of Black Bird needs to grow aa few more smart brain cells. Jack is to afraid of mating to even try to get to know Grace so I don’t blame her for calling it quits when he rejects her. Then there was Paul, who clearly knows who his mate is but must have forgotten she is human and probably doesn’t know they are mates. That old bat, Mrs. Pierce needs some one to give her swirly in a dirty toilet bowl.

I really liked the story line in Rejected, I was pulled into the pages the minute my eyes hit them and had a great reading momentum and then bang an edit. Thankfully, there were not a lot of edits but the ones in Rejected seemed always appear in key spots that messed with the best scenes in the book. Other than the few edits the storyline was clear and consistent and the characters were likeable, well except for the rogues and that old bat Mrs. Pierce and her goon squad. If I ever read Rejected again I may upgrade to a 5 star rating but because I am uncertain of that I think 4 stars makes more sense because I really liked the book but don’t know that I want to read it again in the future.

Heat
There was some was some boat rocking but details were limited and it certainly took Grace and Jack long enough to get there. Although the second time around I am not entirely sure Grace was all in considering she was found sleep walking later.

Book Cover
The cover for Rejected is definitely not generic so it stands out.

Book’s Blurb
The blurb is a well written motivator to buying Rejected

Book’s Blurb
All Grace Copeland wants is a mate.

The good news is that for the last year she’s known that Jack Taylor is her mate. The bad news is that he wants nothing to do with her. When he publicly rejects her, Grace’s world comes crashing down. Humiliated and angry with herself, Grace decides it’s time to get her life in order. Moving to the outskirts of town, she starts rebuilding her family cabin and her life.

Alone in the middle of the woods, Grace becomes the target for a group of untraceable rogue wolves. With her life in danger, she has no choice but to accept help from the man who rejected her.

All Jack Taylor wants is to be left alone.

He definitely doesn’t need a nosy mate like Grace Copeland. Especially when there are rogue wolves attacking local Packs. Jack has better things to do than spending his time avoiding Grace.

When she suddenly moves out of town he should feel relieved but he can’t stop thinking that he made a huge mistake by rejecting her. He also can’t ignore the feeling that she is in danger. The only problem now is that Grace doesn’t want him in her life anymore. With rogues closing in Jack decides she doesn’t have much of choice in the matter.

After Clay’s mother passed away his father took him into the woods, he’s more wolf than human. He really doesn’t think that there is a mate or a family in his future even though he really wants one. One look at Gabby and he will do anything and everything (except speak) to prove to her that he is the one for her even though she hates him (or at least he thinks she does). When she runs, he follows, thank goodness she has a roommate that likes dogs or his fight would be a whole lot harder especially with only six months to get her to fall for him.

I had almost decided that I wasn’t crazy about Gabby because of her treatment of Clay and even though I still don’t condone some of her adolescent actions, I did understand the emotions and demons the precipitated some of her bitchy meanness. I There were a couple times when I felt so sorry for Clay and wished there was someone else for him and then it changed and I started rooting for them as couple. Clay’s Hope is a bit more violent then Hope(less) because of all the fighting that he does to protect his spot as her mate and give her time to progress the relationship at her pace. I am convinced that Clay has the patience of a saint to deal with all of that and the visit to the vet’s office.

Clay’s Hope is well edited making it a smooth steady read with no speed bumps to slow down the progress of the reading flow. In fact, as I was switching back and forth between Clay’s Hope and Hope(less) I found myself constantly wanting to jump back to Clay’s side of the story because there were far less slow moments and the already mentioned flow.

I have to say I did have a lot of fun Clay’s Hope and Hope(less) at the same time. No, I am not crazy about one-sided first-person stories but it turns out that I dig he said/she said type of stories even if they do come in the form of two separate books.

Book Cover Rating51+J+dOHpxL
There are two covers and I am going to use both. There are elements in both covers but when it comes down too it the newer cover does fit better with the storyline and the character.

Book’s Blurb
Clay is a man of few human talents. As a wolf, he hunts well and can fight off a grizzly twice his size, but has no aspirations. The idea of a Mate isn’t something he has ever seriously entertained. Dreamed about, maybe, but he knows the chances are nearly non-existent.

Then he meets Gabby, a human girl. She hates him at first sight, yet he can’t let her go. Who he was is no longer important. Now, who he needs to become to win her over is the only thing that matters.

Note: This is the companion book to Hope(less), book 1 of the Judgement of the Six Series.

Normally I would say something like I was given Hope(less) for an honest review when asked to review a book after getting an email. This time after I got the email asking me to review Judgment Of The Six and Judgement of the Six Companion I thought they sounded familiar and I checked my e-library and found that I owned three of the books and that I had actually purchased Hope(less) in 2013, so, I guess I am a little over due in reading it, better late than never I guess.

Gabby’s life has been controlled by everyone but her since her mother and grandmother passed away. Then she is introduced to a whole new world of werewolves, where she is told she will have to chose a mate. She has other plans and they don’t include a mate so when she gets through the introductions with nothing to show for it, she is ecstatic until she comes face to face with Clay, then the fun begins.

I get why Gabby wants to go to college and to do that one thing she wants to do, but then I also saw how guarded she was when it came to her heart and her secrets, she would rather run then trust anyone with who she is. I was rather disappointed in her downright bitchyness towards Clay. I get guarded and making him work for her heart but I didn’t care for some of her insensitive coldness towards him because some of it was more than uncalled for and truly cruel. I think Gabby was a better person when she dropped the butt head attitude.

Hope(less) starts out a little on the slow side but picks up momentum as the story progresses into a strong steady pace with little to no edits, making this story well worth my time. I have no secret of the fact that I am not a big fan of first-person story lines but I believe that Hope(less) and its counterpart will be the exception. In fact, I found it a challenge because I chose the read Hope(less) and Clay’s Hope as the same time, moving back and forth every few chapters so I was getting both sides. I should have Clay’s Hope review up in a day or to so check back soon.

Book Cover Rating51y3YhGoG2L
When I was looking up basic information to share about Hope(less) I noticed that there is an updated cover and have also included it in this review. I do want to state for the record that for some reason I really like the first cover with just the eyes but then again, the second cover looks more compelling, I think that is the word I am looking for.

Book’s Blurb
Freedom is so close Gabby can taste it. After years of meeting single werewolves and successfully dodging the mating bullet, she’s on her way to her last Introduction to say “No, thanks” one final time. As a human, she has no plans to attach herself to a werewolf. But, she didn’t count on meeting Clay.

With a single look, Gabby knows Clay is the one. And, unfortunately, he knows it too. The silent, ruggedly-handsome werewolf is determined to win his mate by any means necessary. Gabby does what any sane girl would do and runs. Not only does Clay follow, but something truly dangerous does as well.

Now, hunted for the secrets she’s spent her whole life protecting, Gabby must turn to the one man she didn’t want for the help she needs. Time is running out to discover who or what wants her, and Gabby’s just starting to realize there’s more at stake than the heart and freedom of one human girl.

Gay Pride week at Disney World in Florida, Migraines and a guilt-ridden mate on his tail, it proves to be an interesting vacation for Dave Maldonado. Dana Marie Bell did a great job as she covered a lot of ground addressing the long-term effects of alcoholism on the family and migraines, both of which are traumatic and painful. I would have thrown in the sexual orientation but what happens in a bedroom between to consenting adults is no bodies business besides the heart wants what the heart wants that should be respected.

I really liked Dave and Ben they are hilarious together and I get why Ben was resisting the mating call but he should have asked rather then made assumptions. On the other hand, Dave was the Beta and had the power to initiate a confrontation and did nothing, so they are both to blame for the state of their relationship. You will have to read the book to see how they resolved their issues; it was so much fun getting to end and now I will have to read book 2 in the series to learn how they are doing.

There were a few edits along the way but they were more of a clarification issue of who is doing what then anything and not enough to take anything from the over all rating of the story. I know this is an older edition of Finding Forgiveness so I may purchase the current edition in the future just to see if the edits are fixed and because Dana Marie Bell is one of my favorite authors.

Heat Rating
There was a pretty interesting mate dream but for the most part not a lot of hanky spanky going on, so don’t expect to see steam rising from your e-reader. Don’t worry the story line will more then make up for the lack of a lot of graphic sex.

Book Cover Rating
The cover looks crisp and clean, sorry, but when I look at the cover those are the words that pop into my head (weird). I really like the wolf he or she is gorgeous and I would love to own one someday.

Book’s Blurb
To forgive is divine…if he can pin his lover down long enough to beg for it.

Poconos Pack, Book 1

Ben Malone’s role as Marshall attunes him to every nuance of the pack’s wellbeing—which means he’s forced to feel every one of his mate’s hangovers. It’s the one reason Ben will never claim Dave Maldonado. Being alone is better than being with someone who lives in a bottle.

Dave was destined to be a pack Alpha until his first migraine hit at age fifteen, the day he caught his future mate holding hands with another boy. In the nine agonizing years since, he’s contented himself as Beta, but never learned to live with the pain and confusion of Ben’s rejection.

Dave’s worst attack yet sends him to the hospital—and brings them both face to face with the misunderstanding that’s kept them apart all these years. It’s too late, though. Dave is headed for Gay Pride Week at Disney World with one goal in mind. Forget Ben Malone.

Ben’s got a problem with that. Only one man is destined to hold his David. And he’ll give anything, even his last shred of pride, to win forgiveness—and the right to finally claim his mate.

Warning: This book contains explicit sex, graphic language, and male/male love scenes between two top dogs. Who knew Rock Paper Scissors could be such fun?

Ellie’s mate has found her and she is willing to get to know him even though her past experience in her father’s pack has left her distrusting wolf shifters except her brother and Aiden. Even though Gabe asks her who hurt her she won’t tell him who her fathers is because she doesn’t want her brother hurt in the process. Just as Ellie starts trusting in the faith she has put in Gabe and their relationship the truth comes calling and he turns his back on her. Now Ellie has to face a new adventure without her mate. I say anymore and I may spoil the whole damn book for the next reader.

I just finished Reclaiming His Discarded Mate only to turn around read it again the next day, it’s crazy because really, it’s not riveting or anything but the darn books just calls to me or something, ugh. Oh, well, the book really is a decent read, it could use a once over to correct a few edits to smooth out the flow a little more.

Heat Rating
There are some sex scenes in the story but they are super graphic, the first one was more of a wham bam thank you mam moment because Gabe gets called a way and the others are much later in the story so I wont go into detail except to say the steam factory was mild.

Book Cover Rating
The cover might be steamier then the book itself given what the cover implies with practically naked models but you may have an alternate opinion after reading the book.

Book’s Blurb Rating
The blurb could use some editing to smooth it out but it was my main reason for giving this book a chance.

Book’s Blurb

Holy. Fucking. Shit. Left Behind is a seriously intense story, with a lot of ups and downs, with the downs appearing to be winning. Marti is trying to just survive the trauma of her abduction with no success when her men come home to discover why she has shut them out. They know that the asshat that hurt her is still out there and apparently closer to home then they realized. There were a few instances where I just needed to put the book down but my curiosity about what happens next literally kicked my ass, I really wanted to see how she handle situations. I do have one question; how did she not know that Blair was the Triplets ranch foreman?

I am not a fan of the first-person perspective as a rule because you only get one side without ever visiting the other half of the story to see how they feel from their point of view. It really would have been nice to get the perspectives of her brothers and the triplets in this story. Granted the story would have been much longer but still it would have added more dimensions to all of the characters and the storyline.

I really liked the story line with all the action, the bad guy in this story was very active. The only major issue for me story flow which would have been great except for occasional missing word throwing speed bumps into the momentum of the story. With that in mind I feel that I can only give Left Behind 3 stars at this time. However, if Jayton Young ever edits the story I would be thrilled to give it a higher rating.

Heat Rating
Because of the violent nature of this story I was a bit reluctant at first to address this part of Left Behind but then when I thought about it, the bedroom scenes were super graphic. Don’t get me wrong there was some major bedroom actions but it was muted down a bit and not enough to be considered pornography.

Book Cover
The cover is definitely eye catching and most certainly matches the theme of the story.

Book’s Blurb
WARNING: This book contains explicit sexual and violent content. Menage situations. (M/F/M/M)

Marti has spent the last 10 years basically on her own. Her brothers had been at college and her three best friends had joined the military as a requirement to receive their inheritance. She lived through her father dying, then when she finally decided to attend a university, she lived through a very traumatic experience that leaves her mute and broken. But, somebody thinks he needs to finish the job he started.

Toby, Tory, and Troy are home now. Each of them honorably discharged after injuries sustained in the line of duty. They get home to find the love of their lives, and best friend, had changed. She is no longer the outgoing, bubbly, girl they once knew.

What will happen when they find out the reason why?

Having Their Baby takes place several months after Left Behind. Marti is very pregnant, hormonal and frustrated with her husbands. It’s not like they are exactly ignoring her needs but they are ignoring how she wants those needs met. She gets fed up and decides the to take her sister-in-law for a spa weekend, and take a break from her well-meaning men.

Having Their Baby is not as intense as Left Behind but did have the same flow issues requiring some editing. There is also the first-person perspective that make the story line pretty one dimensional, but then my personal preference usually leans more towards third person perspectives or changing from one person’s view to another person view so that I can truly see both sides.

I am not as crazy about Having their Baby as I was about Left behind, I get that Marti was pregnant but she was not the only parent involved. Yes, her men should have discussed their feelings but then maybe she should have too.

Heat Rating
I can honestly say that there was not a single sex scene in this book how ever there was a decent fantasy shower scene, that might prove to be entertaining for you.

Book’s Blurb
WARNING: Menage (M/F/M/M) situations, though no sexual contact between the male characters.

Being mute hasn’t stopped this momma from making her point.

Marti Whiteside is at the end of her pregnancy; and the end of her rope with her three husbands.

Why do men have to be so smart with most things, then let a woman get pregnant and their brains get fried.

Watch as Marti tries to reign in her men and make them see that pregnant doesn’t mean cripple and incapable.

Cry Wolf starts where Alpha And Omega ends, Anna is moving from Chicago to Montana to be with her new mate, Charles. While she is excited, she is also scare and second guessing herself. Charles is in wolf form so talking with him isn’t possible yet, so her self-doubt has her contemplating running.

I really like Anna and Charles, the dynamic of the two seems to create a balance that helps keep them both grounded. I thought it was really cool that Anna’s Omega powers were able to protect her from the big bad psycho bitch witch. I knew that Anna had what she needed to fight back but it was really awesome to read when she begins reconnected with her own self-value. I think my favorite part was her first meeting with Bran’s mean and nasty mate. The way she kept saying no was just priceless.

I have read Cry Wolf several times and will probably read it again next year when the next book in the Alpha And Omega series comes out. I can’t help it; Patricia Briggs writes some amazing stories. Every one of Patricia Briggs books, that I have read are clearly well edited allowing for a smooth flowing reading experience. As of right now I have to say Patricia Briggs is in my top 3 of favorite Authors, and that her Alpha And Omega series is one of my go to comfort reads.

Book Cover Rating
When I first saw this cover, I was confused because Cry Wolf’s main characters are Anna and Charles. I just couldn’t picture Anna looking like the depiction on the cover. After reading Cry Wolf I am not as confused because Anna can be fierce when provoked, but then again, this picture could also be a depiction of the wicked witch and her guardian. I really do like the cover and the curiosity it creates.

Book’s Blurb
Anna never knew werewolves existed until the night she survived a violent attack…and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she’d learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. But Anna is that rarest kind of werewolf: an Omega. And one of the most powerful werewolves in the country is about to recognize her value as a pack member—and as his mate.

Contemporary stories generally are not my thing but occasionally one pops up that says ‘you just have to read me’. Henry just so happens to be one of those particular stories, I was worried at first that I would be eventually get bored out of my gourd but it never happened. In 227 pages Andria Large was able to build a plausible and sound relationship between to people who deserve to find each other.

I really liked Henry and Claire but I absolutely loved little Ethan, the precocious 2 year old. I also very much liked Henry’s brothers and father as well Claire’s dad. I do, however, have my doubts about his mother and will reserve judgment for the somewhere later into the series, when I get to it.

There were a few places where some editing could come in handy and are the main reason for my decision to give Henry a 4 star rating rather than a 5 star rating. If Andria Large ever does an edited second edition I will be happy to revisit Henry for re-evaluation of this rating decision.

Heat Rating
The first half of Henry is a slow build to a friendship and pretty dry sex wise. When the sex finally does enter the equation you will know it’s there but it wont really send any steam rising off your e-reader, and thankfully it does not dominate there entire last half of the book stealing from a pretty good story.

Book Cover
This cover is decidedly better than the first cover attached to Henry. I am not sure that the plane actually fits because there is only one instance in the story where a plane comes into play.

Book’s Blurb
Henry Beck, the gorgeous CEO of an advertising company, was in need of a new personal assistant. He expected HR to hire someone older, more experienced, maybe even with gray hair. Who he got instead was the beautiful, young, single mother – Claire Russell. A woman who he is having a hard time keeping his eyes off of…

Will Henry and Claire be able to fight the obvious attraction between them? Will Henry’s overbearing mother come between them? Or will a freak accident change their perspectives on life and what’s most important.
