I loved the story line, with the psycho mom and the dumbass biker wolf who jumps to conclusions about his own mate without ever discussing it with her. It’s a dark story with some attempted abductions and a lot of smart mouth comments to lighten things up a bit.
What I didn’t like was the fact that Breezy didn’t make Xan grovel and wait after all the crap he spouted about her being a whore. She just caved the minute he decided to take an interest in his mate.
I have never read an Elle Boon book before and I am not sure if I want to read another one or not. The overall story is well written with a good flow and few to no edits and the story line is pretty cool. Granted I don’t like how fast Breezy submitted to Xan but that is the only part I think is flawed and I don’t think that should be reflected in the over all rating which why I am giving Xan’s Feisty Mate a 4-star rating.
Heat
Even though I don’t like that Breezy just into bed like a whore that Xan believed her to be I can deny that the bedrooms scenes are pretty darn steamy.

I am impressed with the cover, it actually matches the story line, which is refreshing.

I am not sure why the first part of the blurb was put into all cans and bold type. I do like the subsequent paragraphs more they were the sole reason for my picking this story.
