I was given this book for an honest review by Jana Richards & Manic Readers

Julia is a high school principal and the mother of Ava an adorable five year old. She has no time for romance and her fear of trusting another man after the job her ex-husband did on her prevents her from taking the time. When her daughter is injured and in need of medical attention she meets Dr. Campbell. He in Lobster Cover long enough to pay his medical school debts then he plans on going home to the west coast. That is until he meets Julia and Ava.

This will be a pretty short review because I was lucky to read enough of this book to even come up with a review. I ran across so many boring rambling spots that I was repeatedly skipping a head and still could not find anything to really hold my interest long enough to entice me to go back to the last book mark I placed in the hopes that I would want to go back to read the entire book. What I did read was well written and thought out (in some spots I thought the author was over thinking it) with no editing issues. One More Second Chance just wasn’t the book for me and I hope that the author finds the right readers that will appreciate her book the way it should be appreciated. I do think that Jana Richards is a creative writer with a lot of potential and I hope I get a chance to see it in the future.

Book Cover Rating
I really like this cover it was a nice selling point to me considering reading this book.

Book’s Blurb
Dr. Alex Campbell has an agenda—finish his contract to provide medical services in Maine, pay off his medical school debt, and head back to his real life in San Diego. But when he meets Julia, all his carefully laid plans are put in jeopardy.

Julia Stewart, Lobster Cove’s high school principal, swears she’ll never let another man drag her away from the home she loves. Her aging parents need her, and the Cove is where she wants to raise her daughter. When her mother’s illness brings her and the big city doctor closer together, panic sets in. Her marriage taught her men don’t stay.

Can she put aside the heartaches of the past and trust Alex enough to accept the love he’s offering? Or will her fear of abandonment mean she’ll send him away forever?
