Because I got book set as a combo and they are housed in the same file I decided to save my self some time and read both books then work on the reviews and putting them together rather than doing to separate reviews.

Holy. Fucking. Shit. Left Behind is a seriously intense story, with a lot of ups and downs, with the downs appearing to be winning. Marti is trying to just survive the trauma of her abduction with no success when her men come home to discover why she has shut them out. They know that the asshat that hurt her is still out there and apparently closer to home then they realized. There were a few instances where I just needed to put the book down but my curiosity about what happens next literally kicked my ass, I really wanted to see how she handle situations. I do have one question; how did she not know that Blair was the Triplets ranch foreman?
I am not a fan of the first-person perspective as a rule because you only get one side without ever visiting the other half of the story to see how they feel from their point of view. It really would have been nice to get the perspectives of her brothers and the triplets in this story. Granted the story would have been much longer but still it would have added more dimensions to all of the characters and the storyline.
I really liked the story line with all the action, the bad guy in this story was very active. The only major issue for me story flow which would have been great except for occasional missing word throwing speed bumps into the momentum of the story. With that in mind I feel that I can only give Left Behind 3 stars at this time. However, if Jayton Young ever edits the story I would be thrilled to give it a higher rating.
Heat Rating
Because of the violent nature of this story I was a bit reluctant at first to address this part of Left Behind but then when I thought about it, the bedroom scenes were super graphic. Don’t get me wrong there was some major bedroom actions but it was muted down a bit and not enough to be considered pornography.
Book Cover
The cover is definitely eye catching and most certainly matches the theme of the story.
Book’s Blurb
WARNING: This book contains explicit sexual and violent content. Menage situations. (M/F/M/M)
Marti has spent the last 10 years basically on her own. Her brothers had been at college and her three best friends had joined the military as a requirement to receive their inheritance. She lived through her father dying, then when she finally decided to attend a university, she lived through a very traumatic experience that leaves her mute and broken. But, somebody thinks he needs to finish the job he started.
Toby, Tory, and Troy are home now. Each of them honorably discharged after injuries sustained in the line of duty. They get home to find the love of their lives, and best friend, had changed. She is no longer the outgoing, bubbly, girl they once knew.
What will happen when they find out the reason why?

Having Their Baby

Having Their Baby takes place several months after Left Behind. Marti is very pregnant, hormonal and frustrated with her husbands. It’s not like they are exactly ignoring her needs but they are ignoring how she wants those needs met. She gets fed up and decides the to take her sister-in-law for a spa weekend, and take a break from her well-meaning men.
Having Their Baby is not as intense as Left Behind but did have the same flow issues requiring some editing. There is also the first-person perspective that make the story line pretty one dimensional, but then my personal preference usually leans more towards third person perspectives or changing from one person’s view to another person view so that I can truly see both sides.
I am not as crazy about Having their Baby as I was about Left behind, I get that Marti was pregnant but she was not the only parent involved. Yes, her men should have discussed their feelings but then maybe she should have too.
Heat Rating
I can honestly say that there was not a single sex scene in this book how ever there was a decent fantasy shower scene, that might prove to be entertaining for you.
Book’s Blurb
WARNING: Menage (M/F/M/M) situations, though no sexual contact between the male characters.
Being mute hasn’t stopped this momma from making her point.
Marti Whiteside is at the end of her pregnancy; and the end of her rope with her three husbands.
Why do men have to be so smart with most things, then let a woman get pregnant and their brains get fried.
Watch as Marti tries to reign in her men and make them see that pregnant doesn’t mean cripple and incapable.
