Grace has had enough; her mate rejects her and the old goats in town conspired to help keep her from her mate. She decides she done with the old bats in tow and moves to her family cabin to get away from it all.
I really liked Grace and her girlfriends; they were lively and fun. I am pretty sure the male population of Black Bird needs to grow aa few more smart brain cells. Jack is to afraid of mating to even try to get to know Grace so I don’t blame her for calling it quits when he rejects her. Then there was Paul, who clearly knows who his mate is but must have forgotten she is human and probably doesn’t know they are mates. That old bat, Mrs. Pierce needs some one to give her swirly in a dirty toilet bowl.
I really liked the story line in Rejected, I was pulled into the pages the minute my eyes hit them and had a great reading momentum and then bang an edit. Thankfully, there were not a lot of edits but the ones in Rejected seemed always appear in key spots that messed with the best scenes in the book. Other than the few edits the storyline was clear and consistent and the characters were likeable, well except for the rogues and that old bat Mrs. Pierce and her goon squad. If I ever read Rejected again I may upgrade to a 5 star rating but because I am uncertain of that I think 4 stars makes more sense because I really liked the book but don’t know that I want to read it again in the future.
Heat
There was some was some boat rocking but details were limited and it certainly took Grace and Jack long enough to get there. Although the second time around I am not entirely sure Grace was all in considering she was found sleep walking later.
Book Cover
The cover for Rejected is definitely not generic so it stands out.
Book’s Blurb
The blurb is a well written motivator to buying Rejected
Book’s Blurb
All Grace Copeland wants is a mate.
The good news is that for the last year she’s known that Jack Taylor is her mate. The bad news is that he wants nothing to do with her. When he publicly rejects her, Grace’s world comes crashing down. Humiliated and angry with herself, Grace decides it’s time to get her life in order. Moving to the outskirts of town, she starts rebuilding her family cabin and her life.
Alone in the middle of the woods, Grace becomes the target for a group of untraceable rogue wolves. With her life in danger, she has no choice but to accept help from the man who rejected her.
All Jack Taylor wants is to be left alone.
He definitely doesn’t need a nosy mate like Grace Copeland. Especially when there are rogue wolves attacking local Packs. Jack has better things to do than spending his time avoiding Grace.
When she suddenly moves out of town he should feel relieved but he can’t stop thinking that he made a huge mistake by rejecting her. He also can’t ignore the feeling that she is in danger. The only problem now is that Grace doesn’t want him in her life anymore. With rogues closing in Jack decides she doesn’t have much of choice in the matter.
