Every time I read this book I think of Pride and Prejudice, I don’t know if that was what Laurann Dohner was aiming for but to me I feel the story runs along those lines and maybe that is why I love this particular book as much as I do. I truly enjoy all her books but this is one of my favorites.
I thought her stunt with her Uncle, to get out of having a body guard, was awesome. I would have like to have seen more of Grady’s perspective in the book that I can live with speculating to. I also like at the end when she was talking with Grady’s brother at the end and Grady came in although it would have been nice to see him punch his brother for taking his woman.
I thought that plot of this book was about overcoming preconceived notions and prejudices from the Hero’s part again bringing us back to Pride and Prejudice where Hero thinks that marring his Miss Bennett is beneath him and she lets him know in no uncertain term that it is the other way around. I this case our Hero in this book, he thinks that his Mika isn’t capable of giving him the commitment that he thinks he needs because only a she-wolf can provide it and doesn’t even realize that Mika needs the same kind of commitment from him, The sad things he still didn’t get it after reaction to him trying to introduce a third to the relationship, I also don’t think that realized that he was also trying to protect himself when he brought in Eric even to the end.

Book’s Blurb
It’s werewolf mating season. All the males are in heat and the driving, sexual lust of their beasts is almost uncontrollable. Mika is human, in an alley, surrounded by four horny werewolves. She knows she’s in deep shit. A tall, handsome werewolf rescues her then demands payment. Hot, sweaty, intimate payment.
Grady is a half breed whose his human mother abandoned him to his werewolf father, so he knows human women just aren’t safe to fall in love with. The wolf within him wants Mika as his mate, but Grady will not give in. Never. Ever. He’s willing to fight his emotions and his beast, no matter how much sexy Mika tempts him.
But neither of them expected her Uncle Omar to assign Grady to protect her from other males—24/7, in her home, sleeping just down the hall. Mika decides to make the best of her vacation and keep the hot wolf in her bed. Grady can’t resist the scorching sex, but he is determined to resist the bond.
